TL;DR
If you sent money to XWord Info but can’t figure out how to create an account, click here. Enter the same email you used with your PayPal payment.
How accounts are created
Much of XWord Info is free but full access requires an XWord Info account and that costs money. (It’s an expensive site to run.)
Some people have had problems creating an account after they pay. Here are the steps that happen, and how you can fix problems yourself:
- I use PayPal to handle payments, which can be made with a PayPal account, Venmo, or a credit card. You use the green PayPal widget to select a level and enter your payment info.
- Once the payment is processed, you automatically go to the Create Account page. In this option, you can use any email address you like, since I know who you are and that you’ve paid.
- In case that doesn’t work (perhaps you were too impatient) I also send an email to your PayPal email address with a link to the Create Account page. In this option, you must use your PayPal email address.
- In case that doesn’t work (perhaps it went to your spam folder) I also drop a cookie on the home page what will prompt you to create an account if I’ve seen a payment but not an account creation. You should use your PayPal email address here too.
- If none of that works, just click on the Create Account page directly, again specifying your PayPal email address.
- If none of that works, send me an email. (There’s a link on the XWord Info home page.)
One way or another, I’ll get you set up.
It’s a good time to mention that if you make a payment and don’t like XWord Info after all, I’ll happily refund your full amount. That rarely happens, but you might feel more comfortable knowing it’s possible.
